Abstract

The purpose of this study is to get an overview of how early childhood educators understand the independent curriculum and how educators are capable of implementing the curriculum in their respective classes. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The research instruments used were field notes, interview guides, and documents related to the implementation of the independent curriculum at the early childhood education level. The research subjects were teachers and school principals in Malang City. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman technique. The results of the study show that there are still many early childhood educators in Malang who do not fully understand the implementation of the independent curriculum.
